Job Description

Woodslane distributes a wide range of Professional & Academic titles, especially in the Allied Health and Educational areas. We are based in Warriewood, Sydney, with around 20 staff.

We need someone who has a good book knowledge and, working in conjunction with the sales & marketing team, can help cover some of the core responsibilities of the existing role whilst the Textbook & Professional Marketing Manager is away on maternity leave.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

·   Running the inspection copy process

·   Liaising with publishers and authors to meet day to day operational needs

·   Assisting with conference preparation and possible attendance

·   Creating marketing collateral

Hours are flexible – we are looking for someone who can do between 25 hours a week to full time.

Some WFH is possible and requests will be considered favourably although initially the job will be office based.

Knowledge of the academic and trade book markets is important but enthusiasm and willingness to have a go will be considered very favourably in the overall picture.

·   You have a good understanding of how the book trade works – especially in the academic area

·   You are competent with Excel, Word and basic office software

·   You are competent with basic design software such as Canva and Photoshop
