Our Queensland Government client is seeking 2 experienced **Master Schedulers**. The purpose of these roles are to support programs and projects in the development of their planning and scheduling products. You will develop, maintain and review planning and scheduling standards and practices as well as identify and implement planning and scheduling improvement initiatives. You will provide expert advice on planning and scheduling to ensure the successful delivery of projects and ensure all aspects of project timelines are accurately captured and baselined.

These roles are 12-month contracts, based in Fortitude Valley.

One Master Scheduler will support the Cyber Security program which comprises multiple projects such as:

- Endpoint Protection Platform Replacement
- Modernisation of Vulnerability Management Services
- State-wide Implementation of Enterprise Password Vault
- Modernisation of Web Gateway Platform

The other will support the Capital Portfolio level schedule across Delivery Services Branch in collaboration with Operations and Performance Branch to facilitate delivery of the following:

- Establish a Portfolio Master Schedule of the Capital Portfolio, encompassing over 100 initiatives
- Manage dependencies between projects and programs in the portfolio
- Implement a shared resource pool model and effective portfolio level key milestone reporting.

**Other key responsibilities include**:

- Facilitate planning workshops (including agile planning) to ensure proper planning is completed and interdependencies are identified
- Evaluate project schedule progress and performance to identify problem areas and advise possible corrective action to ensure on-time delivery
- Ensure schedules are aligned with best practices for project schedules, following the standards and templates outlined in the project delivery framework
- Map and maintain interdependency linkages to ensure consideration of logic and mutual exclusivity in portfolio selection and portfolio risk during delivery
- Provide proactive strategic reporting on the status of the resource pool including net capacity and demand, upcoming skill gaps, over-allocations and the impact on resourcing of delays in projects.

**The ideal applicants will be those who can demonstrate the following**:

- Experience with facilitation of planning workshops to assess team objectives and interdependencies across the program
- Extensive experience using scheduling tools (preferably MS project) and knowledge planning, scheduling, resource management and financial management
- Keen analytical eye for detail and the ability to identify weaknesses in schedule design and setup
- Reporting of status, deliverable progress, risks, issues and constraints as required
- Assertiveness and ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders at different levels
- Recent experience working on large transformation programs in the private or Government sector highly regarded
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.
