Scarecrow Foods is a new Toowoomba based Australian manufacturer specialising in innovative snack foods.

Their purpose-built facility is equipped with state-of-the-art food processing and packaging technology designed to add innovation to their “crop to shop” processes and deliver premium and ethical snack foods to Australian consumers.

**_What You Will Do:_**

Diversity will be the key word to describe the duties associated with this new position and hands-on duties will include:

- Perform production operations on a range of machines
- Troubleshoot and rectify production equipment malfunctions
- Identify and initiate change to create process and productivity improvements
- Assist with the review, updating and implementation of operating procedures
- Enter data and maintain production records
- Maintain production runs that are consistent with demand, sales and new product development
- Supervise casual staff as needed
- Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with established quality standards throughout all areas of production
- Maintain site safety standards and work practices

**_What You Will Need:_**

Adaptability will be the key word to describe the person requirements for this role, however the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

- Hands-on machine operator experience in a production environment
- Sound mechanical skills with the ability to diagnose, fault-find and adjust machines
- Ability to identify processes that maximise efficiency, productivity and profitability
- A thorough understanding of safety and quality compliance requirements in a FMCG manufacturing workplace
- Availability for shift flexibility
- Sound computer skills
- Proven people and communication skills
- An excellent work ethic
- A high level of physical fitness
- A current driver licence

Although not essential requirements, preference will be shown to applicants also able to offer any of the following:

- GMP & FMCG experience
- Food industry manufacturing experience
- A current Forklift licence
- Relevant formal academic qualifications / certificates

This will be a salaried position and the above Award salary package will be negotiated based on proven skills, experience and qualifications.
