**About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity available for mental health clinicians with extensive experience as a Senior Clinician in mental health community and inpatient areas with demonstrated ability to work with diverse and complex clinical presentations. Recent management experience is desirable.

This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your mental health leadership and management skills and experience and also explore a new pathway in your mental health career.

The MHPC’s assist in managing patient access and bed flow, support incident management, manage staffing issues and support clinical areas including the emergency departments, inpatient units, and bed-based sub-acute facilities over 24 hours, 7 days a week.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Registered as a Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority with approved/endorsed postgraduate qualifications in Psychiatric Nursing
- Or Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist
- Or Recognised Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Or Hold a Masters or Doctoral qualification in Clinical Psychology that has been approved by the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA), Registration with AHPRA with endorsement in the approved area of practice of Clinical Psychology.
- Extensive clinical experience in the mental health sector and sound knowledge of the relevant legislation pertaining to Adult Mental Health including the Mental Health and wellbeing Act Vic 2012 and its associated principles.
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical leadership within the multidisciplinary workforce and across the agency.
- Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the _Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice)_. Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment._
