**The Opportunity**
Our client is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to join their GP practice in Newtown 2042.

Key responsibilities include:
- Greet and welcome patients in a courteous and professional manner.
- Schedule appointments for patients and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
- Answer incoming calls, address patient inquiries, and provide basic information about the practice and its services.
- Maintain patient records and ensure accurate data entry, including personal information and medical history.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, billing, and processing insurance claims.
- Keep the reception area clean and organised, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and other staff members to facilitate smooth patient flow and efficient operations.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Medical Receptionist in a GP clinic (desirable)
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency with technology, including social media
- Positive and compassionate demeanour
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work individually as well as with a team
- Experience working in a client-facing role
- Appropriate confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
