**The Role**:
We have just acquired a new service located in Bell Post Hill and are looking for talented and dedicated staff to join us We are currently seeking a Team Leader for a full time, permanent position.
This position sits within our Child and Youth Services sector and as a Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in seeing the safe provision of day-to-day care (physical and emotional) and support of children and young people with disabilities who reside in out-of-home residential care in all areas.
You will be responsible for leading a team of support staff, coordinating daily operations, and fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for both residents and staff members.
Duties will include promoting our services to potential residents and agents, identifying client needs, fostering independence while ensuring care, supporting client decision-making and community inclusion, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring strict adherence to policies.
Administrative responsibilities include managing records, overseeing maintenance and supplies, conducting appraisals, handling reports, ensuring safety compliance, supervising staff, and representing the organization professionally.
- High level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to self-reflect.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills verbal, non-verbal and written.
- Demonstrated experience supervising support staff in a Disability Services (or similar) environment.
- Proven capacity to contribute to building a team, focused on high quality service.
- Commitment to teamwork and accountability.
- Certificate IV in Disability or Community Services (desirable).
