We are seeking a Manager Enforcement to provide leadership and to review current capability and capacity, and identify opportunities for growth in the function. As Manager Enforcement, you will plan and implement activities to enhance capability and capacity, whilst developing a risk based approach to triage and assessment of potential enforcement matters. You will also develop a risk based approach to enforcement activities that support effective and efficient portable long service leave schemes.
Your contribution
Using your understanding and experience in regulatory enforcement, you will:

- build capability and capacity around statutory decision making as it applies to the operation of Enforcement services, and the associated compliance monitoring and enforcement processes
- review, develop, implement and evaluate frameworks, tools, systems and processes to ensure continuous quality improvement in regulatory functions, to support the implementation of the QLeave's enforcement priorities
- lead the provision of Levies services through effective management of high risk and complex matters
- provide strategic oversight to the reporting of regulatory outcomes and operations in accordance with legislative approved requirements
- review, and build capability and capacity as you implement effective processes for work planning, resource allocation and prioritisation of regulatory effort based on an intelligence and data-driven assessment of risk in the portable long service sector
- support the development of frameworks and strategies relating to enforcement, including interaction with other elements of the organisation
- effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders to achieve regulatory outcomes, reduce regulatory burden and minimise risk
- provide direction, technical guidance and leadership to staff, including ensuring that effective processes are in place for team performance assessment and capability development
- provide expert and independent analysis and advice to your Director and members of the Executive Leadership Team, including coordination and/or preparation of correspondence, briefing notes, memorandums, submissions, Board papers, and policy responses
- complete any other tasks as directed from time to time as directed by your supervisor.

What we are looking for

**For this role, we will consider your**:

- experience leading and building capability and capacity in a contemporary enforcement function, including working in collaboration with a leadership team to drive improvement
- knowledge and experience in developing risk based enforcement programs in line with best practice and regulatory theory, and ability to use data analytics and behavioural economics to drive business decisions
- ability to translate between operational and strategic environments, and demonstrate accountability for the execution and quality of results through professionalism and transparency
- strong verbal and written communication skills, including your ability to adapt your communication style depending upon the audience
- experience fostering a work environment that encourages a skilled, motivated and productive team, and manages team and individual performance matters.

There are no mandatory qualifications for this role.
This position reports to the Director Legislative Compliance and leads an enforcement and a levies team.
