**Community Support Workers (Mental Health)**

**Location**: North of River (Bayswater/Bassendean)

**Job Type**: Casual (Ongoing)

**Preference**: Female

**About the Role**

We are seeking **Female Community Support Workers** with **experience in mental health** to provide support services to our female participants in Bayswater. In order to regulate daily routines smoothly, **participants require intensive support** both at home and in the community. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will provide emotional and practical support to participants, assist with daily activities, and promote social and emotional well-being.

**Support days**: 7 days a week (Mon-Sun)

**Support times**: 8 am to 5 pm (9.0 hours)

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide support to individuals with mental health issues in their homes or in the community
- Assist Participants with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Help Participants to develop and maintain independence and self-esteem
- Encourage and facilitate participant’s participation in social and recreational activities
- Work collaboratively with other team members to develop and implement support plans
- Attend team meetings and training sessions as required
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to Participants and their families.
- Monitor and document participant’s progress and report any concerns or changes in their mental health status

**Requirements**:

- Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working with individuals with mental health issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with participants.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Current driver's license and reliable transportation
- First-Aid/CPR
- NDIS Workers Screening Check

**Salary**: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
