**Injury Management Specialist - Medical and Care - Personal Injury | Sydney or Perth**
**The role**
We have created a new role within our Underwritten Workers Compensation business, with the primary purpose of providing specialised support and advice to our claims team and customers to ensure our most significantly injured and medically complex workers receive the highest level of care to maximise return to life outcomes. The role will also have oversight of medical and treatment providers and spend, ensuring health care is evidence-based and high-value.

**You'll **be responsible for**
- Developing strategies and best practices to care for our most significantly injured, medically complex and vulnerable customers.
- Collaborating with claims staff and Injury Management Coordinators as well as external treating teams, to ensure the needs of catastrophically injured workers are identified prior to discharge from hospital, with appropriate supports implemented.
- Creating and streamlining the delivery of services for the high-care (catastrophic) service stream for business triage.
- Collaborating with claims personnel and outside medical providers to keep an eye on and guarantee our clients' receiving high-quality, effective care.
**About you**
- You have a degree in Allied Health i.e., Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Exercise Physiology.
- You have 5+ years’ experience in personal injury industry.
- Experience in delivering training and/or presentations highly regarded.
- You demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to optimise business value to customers by delivering high quality services and positive customer experiences to sustain and enhance the customer base.
- You have the ability to make independent as well as collaborative decisions during expected or unexpected situations and then taking responsibility for the consequences of decisions taken.
