**About the Opportunity**
Due to consistent growth across our business, we have a fantastic opportunity available for a highly motivated, customer focused Purchasing Officer to join our Business Services Team in North Coogee WA.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking to advance and diversify their skillset. Working in a team of that supports the administrative functions of the business:

- Accounts, Purchasing and HR, you will receive training in a wide range of Business Services. At AFP’s core, we believe in innovation, collectively developing our skills, and sharing our wins as a team.

Your responsibilities in this role will include;
- Completing the daily activities of the purchasing function
- Ensuring appropriate systems and processing controls are in place to enable transactional accuracy and ensure purchasing transactions are processed in a timely manner
- Processing purchase orders and following up delivery
- Support vendor on-boarding
- Processing / generating sales orders
- Prepare purchasing related reports
- Contribute to function and systems improvements, including working with internal stakeholders to develop understanding of best practice
- Arranging freight and couriers with both international and national companies.

**About You**
To be considered for this role, you will possess;
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience in a similar role
- Have exposure or experience working with the oil and gas industry
- Min. Certificate 3 Business Administration
- Experience using ERP computer systems and intermediate MS Office skills (inc Word and Excel) and Micronet (desirable)
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team
- Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to communicate with stakeholders of all levels
- Strong attention to detail and a positive can-do' attitude
- A desire to grow and develop a long standing career within the AFP business.
