An exciting opportunity currently exists for a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Manager Communications and Events on a permanent, full-time basis.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy that supports Council’s strategic objectives
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to align communication efforts with overall business objectives and delivery milestones
- Identify and analyse key stakeholders, and develop tailored communication plans to address their needs and concerns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering open lines of communication and gathering feedback to enhance communication effectiveness
- Create compelling, accurate, and clear content for a variety of communication channels, including community newsletters, press releases, and social media platforms
- Regularly monitor and analyse communication metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency of messaging

About you
To ensure success in this position you will have 5 - 7+ years’ experience in communications and are highly organised. You will be an exceptional communicator with a high degree of initiative to ensure you keep up with industry trends and are able to stay ahead of the curve. Superior writing skills, with the ability to think both analytically and strategically would be highly regarded.
