HSEQ Officer (Soft Services Sector)

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced HSEQ Officer to join our team.

Role Overview:
As an **HSEQ Officer, **you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with HSEQ policies and regulations across our soft services operations in the Sydney CBD. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including clients, staff, and management, to promote a culture of safety, environmental sustainability, and quality. Your expertise in HSEQ management and your ability to develop and implement effective strategies will be crucial in maintaining our reputation as a leader in the industry.

**Responsibilities**:
Develop, implement, and maintain HSEQ policies and procedures in accordance with legislative requirements, industry standards, and client expectations.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, risks, and non-compliance issues.
Collaborate with operational teams to develop and deliver HSEQ training programs and toolbox talks.
Provide expert advice on HSEQ matters, including risk assessments, incident investigations, and emergency response planning.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSEQ programs, identify areas for improvement, and recommend appropriate actions.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, training activities, and regulatory compliance.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and address any HSEQ-related concerns or queries.
Stay updated with changes in HSEQ legislation, industry best practices, and technological advancements.

**Requirements**:
Australian citizenship is mandatory.
Proven experience as an HSEQ Officer, preferably in the soft services sector.
In-depth knowledge of HSEQ legislation, regulations, and best practices.
Experience in managing HSEQ programs, conducting risk assessments, and leading incident investigations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically and solve problems.
Relevant qualifications in occupational health and safety, environmental management, or a related field.
Certifications such as Lead Auditor certification, Cert IV in Work Health and Safety, or equivalent will be highly regarded.
Proficiency in using HSEQ management systems and tools.
