**Job Description**:
The Pro Vice Chancellor (Indigenous) (PVC(I)) works with colleagues across the University to successfully enable all aspects of Indigenous engagement, learning and teaching, engagement and research innovation, in support of Griffith’s strategic commitments.

The GUMURRII Student Success Unit is the heart of Griffith’s Indigenous student community, with a dedicated student hub located on each campus. GUMURRII staff are committed to providing high quality support for potential and current students from schools outreach to recruitment, orientation to graduation in a safe and culturally appropriate learning environment.

On a day-to-day basis, the Student Success Officers are responsible for frontline outreach, engagement and support of First Peoples students. Working in direct partnerships, consultation and collaboration with a wide range of internal and external staff and stakeholders GUMURRII’s Student Success Officers play a pivotal role in achieving the highest levels of student retention, progression and success.

**What we can offer**
This is a 12 month fixed-term full-time position based at our Gold Coast campus.
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 6 range $81,226 - $86,640 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $95,035 - $101,368 per annum.

**About you**
To perform this role, it is essential that the person who holds the position be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement, under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, that applicants are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

Additionally you will:

- Hold a degree with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Be enthusiastic and committed to the delivery of high-quality student service
- Possess exceptional customer service skills
- Enjoy and be capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Have proven strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn systems and processes
- Well developed IT skills, including in Microsoft Office, are essential
