**Our Transition**
EnergyAustralia is actively transitioning its portfolio - we are doing not just talking. In the last year we have made substantial investment commitments across utility storage (lithium ion and pumped hydro) and flexible gas/hydrogen generation, all of which will support a high renewable's grid.
**About the Role**
Reporting to the Controls Team Leader and forming part of the onsite Process Controls Team at Yallourn, this position is responsible for inspecting, calibrating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing OT systems, that include DCS and PLC’s, to optimise plant performance and meet our customers’ needs.
**Duties and Accountabilities**
- Provide technical support and guidance to Maintenance, Operations and Engineering for the Power Station’s OT systems
- Ensure continuous and reliable operation of the process control systems
- Minimise plant non-availability and losses due to DCS related failure
- Ensure that the DCS operates within the system design parameters and constraints, whilst maximising production
- Maintain a high level of quality assurance during all tasks associated with the plant control systems
- Implement and participate in plant modifications to the Power Station in alignment with EA’s MOTC principals
**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**
- Associate Diploma/Certificate of Technology or Electrical and Instrumentation trade qualifications as minimum
- Well-rounded interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to use a computer-based maintenance management system
- Strong knowledge of control system design and configuration principles
- Knowledge of a Power Station’s processes and IC&E systems, including the safe maintenance of these systems.
Please note This role will be required to participate in rostered availability as business requirements dictate once an acceptable level of DCS skill has been obtained.
