- Make a national impact and work with donors and partners across the country to support and conserve iconic national parks and gardens that include Kakadu, Uluru-Kata Tjuta, Booderee, Christmas Island Cocos Keeling and Norfolk Island National Parks, the Australian National Botanic Gardens, and 60 Australian Marine Parks

**About the Opportunity**
The Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager will be responsible for driving growth across partnership and philanthropy networks while supporting the national delivery of impactful conservation outcomes in and beyond Commonwealth national parks and gardens, including marine parks.

In this role you will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with leaders, donors, influencers, and organisations providing access to bold large scale restoration and conservation projects and break through research.

**Responsibilities**:

- Build strong partnerships and relationships that are mutually beneficial to achieve project goals through support from funding and/or in-kind resources
- Develop strong relationships with individual donors and organisations whose interests are aligned to the vision of the Parks Trust
- Build impactful working relationships with Parks Australia to unlock large scale conservation opportunities
- Develop and implement strategic fundraising plans with clear targets and objectives
- Develop donor engagement approaches, including events and donor communication plans
- Lead the development of grant and proposal writing as required
- Collaborate with other players in the sector to build a collective commitment to support environmental conservation

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Demonstrated experience and success securing large multi-year support from major givers, and/or a variety of organisations
- Strong knowledge and experience cultivating donor engagement plans, stewardship plans, and processes along with the understanding of moving management of donors from lead generation through to gift conversion
- Excellent high-level communication and influencing skills with the ability to pitch and present to a variety of audiences
- Existing networks across the philanthropic sector with an understanding of the landscape of funding in the space
- Ability to lead and develop strong relationships with your team, peers, and other stakeholders
- A strategic mindset, with the ability to collaborate with others to influence growth in the portfolio and to drive for results
- Current knowledge of the Fundraising environment and of a range of techniques and disciplines which will support generation of income across partnership and philanthropic channels
- An understanding, and genuine interest in making a transformational impact on the future of Australia’s biodiversity
