Telematics Manager

We are looking for an experienced Telematics & Fleet Monitoring Manager to join Team Global ExpressEquipment function based in Melbourne.

Responsible for supplier engagement and the day-to-day management of fleet monitoring nationally across multiple asset classes. You will ensure there is industry leading safety and productivity through advanced telematics systems, and ensure provision of robust, reliable and high-quality data streams for consumption and usage by the business.

Reporting to the General Manager, Commercial you will be responsible for:

- SME advice to IT/ Business for telematics strategy development
- Assisting IT/Procurement for telematics tender reviews and response analysis
- Manage day to day supplier performance against contract.
- Manage day-to-day fleet monitoring and telematics solutions, with a focus on maximum uptime and shortest issue resolution.
- Ensure consistent, reliable, high quality, robust data feeds from telematics equipment.
- Lead and mentor a team of direct reports, ensuring multi skilling and development.
- Ensure a high level of customer (internal) and supplier (external) engagement is achieved to understand operational and business requirements and optimal outcomes.
- Development of processes and procedures to support all areas of telematics, including installation and product standards, compliance protocols and customer training guides.

- 5 yrs experience with and intuitive understanding of advanced telematics
- 5 yrs experience managing a multi-disciplinary team inc remote workers
- Experience with telematics systems, including integration with third party hardware and software
- Technical working knowledge of heavy vehicles and related sensors
- Good working knowledge of the HVNL and other relevant heavy vehicle legislation
- Keen attention to detail, with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail
- Highly effective communication skills
