The Planner and Scheduler is responsible for the development of project schedules, the provision of high-level schedule advice and for the monitoring of progress of various Projects within Major Roads Projects Victoria. Working with the project controls team, the Scheduler ensures completeness, accuracy and clarity of schedules, the identification of critical works, and the timely communication of program status and any delays and issues arising, along with mitigation strategies.

Working at Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) means being part of something big.

We oversee more than 40 projects as a cornerstone of Victoria's Big Build, including some of the State's most important roads.

With this growing portfolio of projects as part of the Big Build, it is imperative that we provide high level program advice for monitoring the development of project schedules, the provision of detailed schedule advice, and timely communication of program status and any delays or issues that arise. And that's where this role comes in

- Supporting the MRPV project teams in the development of project schedules for the various MRPV projects to ensure completion targets and construction programs are realistic and performance can be readily monitored and reported.
- Advising the MRPV project teams and the Planning and Scheduling Manager on any schedule issues arising and recommending improvements and mitigation actions to ensure project schedules are robust and able to be delivered within the required time frames.
- Providing input into Tender Documentation and undertake detailed review and evaluation of the construction Contractors' tender and contract schedules. Ensure all Scheduling contract requirements are met and provide evaluation recommendations based on key selection criteria.

We are looking for an expert in this field, who has the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes in a high-pressure environment. Someone who has sound knowledge of project management and scheduling methodologies
- in particular across the full life-cycle of construction projects or like industries. Key to your success is someone who can work collaboratively with our engineering, commercial and project teams to ensure completeness, accuracy and clarity of schedules. The successful applicant will also have the ability to identify critical works and provide timely and succinct communication updates of program status and any delays or issues that arise.

This role is a 3-year fixed term position and will be based out of our Dandenong hub office in Melbourne's Southeast.
