IT Service Desk Team Leader

Banyule City Council is looking for an IT Service Desk Team Leader to drive excellence in IT support, enhance service delivery, and ensure our staff have the tools they need to thrive.

**What you’ll do**
- Managing the IT Service Desk team - scheduling, triaging, and ensuring SLAs are met.
- Providing exceptional IT support to staff and Councillors, both onsite and remotely.
- Improving processes, mentoring team members, and handling escalations.
- Delivering training, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Driving a customer-focused culture that values innovation, efficiency, and service excellence.

**What you'll bring/what we are looking for**
- A Relevant tertiary qualification in the area of Information Technology or similar with ITIL certification and relevant certifications (for example the Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert).
- Proven experience in managing a team of IT professionals
- The ability to build and maintain effective relationships including demonstrated experience and skills in liaison, negotiation and problem solving with staff at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues to resolution and/or escalate as required
- Well-developed PC support skills and underlying knowledge of relevant software and operating systems as required

**Pre-employment requirements**
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) (Previously known as a police check)
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence
