Your part in our UnitingCare team

This position includes:
- Managing a team of Residential Care Practitioners and Youth Workers, coordinating the day-to-day operations of our residential care service for young people living in out of home care- Provide mentoring, coaching and supervision to teams in alignment with the CARE model for practice- Ensure our service is working in accordance with the CARE model, making a meaningful difference in the lives of children, young people and families by taking a therapeutic centred approach

What makes a difference for us?- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Social Work, Psychology or Social Science)- Experience incorporating the six CARE Principals when supporting Children and Young People, or reflection on how you would incorporate these into your team’s practice- Demonstrated experience leading a team that works with children and youth within a therapeutic care environment who have suffered abuse or neglect and are on statutory child protection or juvenile justice orders- A Current Blue Card (Working with Children)- A QLD Driver's Licence- First Aid and CPR Qualifications- Must be willing to undergo a personal history check under the provision of the Child Protection Act 1999 in relation to Licensing of Care Services (LCS2 screening check)- Willingness to be part of a regular OnCall Roster- Ability to build strong relationships with young people- Our service operates 24/7 and will require you to be flexible to the requirements of the service within these hours._
