**Your Role**:
As the Event Assistant you will have responsibility for the following:
- Assist in the dissemination of project and event information including music books, teaching and music resources to teachers, parents, students and key stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with the Community Engagement and Events team and contractors to ensure the success of rehearsals.
- Liaise with teachers, parents, students and stakeholders to organise and deliver rehearsals as required. Rehearsals and performances will often be scheduled on weekends and outside of normal working hours.
- Perform any other duties as required by the production team for the successful delivery of CGEN, MOST, Fanfare and other events delivered by the Community Engagement and Events Unit.
Event assistants will report directly to the Operations Manager and are responsible for overseeing portions of the event logistics - experience with Microsoft Suite is expected. Areas of support include the management of show week information, category specific support and/or general event operation requirements.
**About You**:
- Experience working with students
- Strong communicator
- Knowledge and love of the performing arts
- Ability to adapt to your surroundings and work within a team of diverse and creative people
- Driver's license and access to a vehicle (desirable, not mandatory)
**Mandatory requirements**:
- A current blue card
- A willingness to obtain first aid training (annual training provided)
- Experience in Microsoft Suite
