Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. Due to an internal promotion, a rare opportunity has arisen in our Value Access and Policy team to propel patient advocacy. In this vital role, you will ensure that the patients we serve have a strong and meaningful voice within Amgen. Core to this role is fostering relationships and strategic opportunities with patient advocacy and relevant health care organisations to promote improvement in patient experience and outcomes. The role is a permanent, full-time role based in **Sydney** and reports to the Head of Government Affairs, Policy and Advocacy.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop, foster and manage relationships with key patient advocacy organisations and drive forward strategic partnerships in Amgen’s Therapeutic Areas
- Be an active and critical cross functional team member developing and executing external engagement strategy in collaboration with Policy, Government Affairs, Communications and Medical teams
- Foster a culture of ‘external-in’ to bring external insights into Amgen from the patient advocacy community. Ensure the patient voice and preferences are brought into Amgen’s strategies, programs and capabilities
- Nurture relationships with Amgen Regional and Global Amgen Advocacy Relations colleagues to safeguard appropriate optimal alignment and to leverage global strategy
- Bring new insights and ideas into how Amgen can successfully and valuably differentiate from other pharmaceutical companies in engagements with patient groups and more broadly across the health landscape

- Minimum 5 years of Pharmaceutical Industry experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience from similar positions
- Demonstrated experience working with leadership and diverse groups internally and externally
- Understanding of the Australian Pharmaceutical industry in terms of reimbursement an advantage
- Experience in relevant therapeutic area(s) (Oncology, Bone, Cardiovascular) highly regarded
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills - ability to assimilate complex medical knowledge and communicate simple, compelling, and relevant messages to non-medical audiences
- Residency and permission to work in Sydney, Australia is essential
