**The Opportunity**
Join our team as the Technical Risk Lead and play a pivotal role in shaping the success of a high-impact program of works within the water infrastructure sector. Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, you’ll be responsible for providing technical leadership, design oversight, and proactive risk management across the full lifecycle of the program, from planning through to delivery.
In this role, you will develop tailored work methodologies, provide constructability and buildability advice, and ensure all designs meet best practice standards for safety, environment, and community impact. You’ll work closely with pre-delivery and delivery teams to embed controls early in the process, monitor emerging risks, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
As a key leader in the program, you will also play an important role in building technical capability, mentoring team members, and fostering collaborative, cross-functional delivery teams. You’ll liaise with clients and stakeholders to support program success and ensure a smooth delivery.
You will bring:
- Minimum degree qualification in civil engineering or related field
- Extensive industry knowledge, including significant experience in a technical leadership role
- Extensive experience in developing, implementing and managing project portfolios/programmes
- Proven ability to lead design functions and technical teams with strong people leadership skills
- Excellent communication, organisational, and coordination skills
- Sound project financial management skills
