Team Lead

**Overview**
Team Lead role is an integral part of the Technical Analyst team - leading and managing a team of Technical Analysts, delivering high calibre support for projects and deliverables. Responsible for supporting the career development of the team members.

**This is a 12 months Fixed term role for external applicants and secondment for internal employees, maternity absence leave cover. This role can be based either in Sydney or Melbourne
**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
People Leadership
Lead and manage a team of Technical Analysts
- Conduct performance reviews in line with Link’s policies and work with team members on their career development plan.
- Regularty meet the Technical Analyst team members individually to track progress and provide feedback and guidance.
- Cross skill the Technical Analyst team to ensure Business and Technical knowledge is shared - when applicable
Operational Management
Collaborate with project managers and release managers to engage the right Technical Analyst resources, plan, prioritise and allocate the tasks to the team
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designated business domains, providing timely information and design decisions in collaboration with the solution consultants and architects
- Work on documentation standards within the Technical Analysts team and ensure this is properly followed
- Assist the team to asses and and determine the optimal solution by participating in solution discussion meetings and review technical documents produced by team
- Participate in estimations meetings at project planning stage
- Work collaboratively with Link Group IT Team leads to promote Link Group strategy, build Centre of Excellences
- Proactively identify and implement improvements to processes and procedures within the team and wider Technology division.
- Develop and deliver training material in collaboration with the Technical Analyst team and Learning and Development team

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Business and Technical Analysis experience and/or product knowledge in Superannuation, Insurance, Managed Funds and Registry Services highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Link Group’s supported IT systems is desirable.
- Knowledge of Link Group IT’s software development cycles is desirable.
- Ability to delegate, inspire, motivate and communicate effectively with the team.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external clients
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks in order to meet strict deadlines
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Working knowledge of MS office products.
- Working knowledge of API, Microservices and WebServices is highly desirable.
- API design and system design experience is desirable.
- Working knowledge of Cloud based IT solutions (Azure) is desirable.
- Working knowledge of PEGA or similar automation systems is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and provide guidance and recommendations on solution designs and project improvements.
- Experience working in an outsourced or offshored environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong team spirit
- Adaptability to working hours in order to meet business needs.
