**Underwriter - Financial Lines**

Join a leading global insurance and reinsurance provider with nearly 50 years of industry expertise. Seeking a Senior Underwriter or Underwriter to join a dynamic team, focusing on Financial Lines products in Australia, particularly the VIC region. As a key player, you'll drive profitability, growth, and service excellence while fostering strong relationships with clients and brokers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct comprehensive underwriting assessments and make strategic decisions aligned with company objectives.
- Cultivate enduring relationships with major clients and brokers to deliver tailored solutions.
- Drive innovation by contributing fresh ideas and insights to enhance underwriting processes.
- Mentor and collaborate with junior team members to ensure high performance and cohesion.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Significant experience of 3 years + in financial lines underwriting with strong technical knowledge of the Australian market.
- Up-to-date understanding of industry trends, competitors, and product offerings.
- Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team vision and strategy.
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities and threats through market analysis.
- Relevant professional insurance qualifications and commitment to continuous learning.
- Strong adherence to regulatory controls and compliance standards.
