**The Role**

We are currently seeking a Production Lead with experience in the automotive electrical industry. This role is responsible for leading a team of technicians and operators to meet production metrics, implement new products into existing processes and execute/monitor standard operations, tests, or experiments (electronic and mechanical) to identify faults. This role interfaces with other functional areas including Engineering, Warehouse and Purchasing to minimise downtime and improve production.

**Job tasks and responsibilities**
- Establish and monitor performance, safety standards and procedures for production, modification and rework of electronic products
- Identifies materials required for daily production and works with warehouse to ensure availability of parts
- Maintains time and production records
- Identify new products planned for production, and ensure area is ready to support the forecast with trained team members, equipment, and procedures
- Interprets process specifications for team members and creates instructions and drawings for new parts as required
- Trains team members in production requirements and equipment operation
- Ensures team performs production line tasks to quality, quantity and productivity standards defined by work instructions, samples, engineering advice or company proprietary knowledge

- Reviews working conditions, layout and use of equipment to increase productivity and improve production flow
- Adopt lean manufacturing methodologies including process mapping, continuous improvement and 5S to reduce non-value-added work
- Support the design and redesign of products and components for production optimisation
- Develop testing jigs and testing procedures to train the production team to test electronic components.
- Ensure ISO documents and processes are accurate and being followed

**Who You Are**

In order to succeed in this role you will need to have:

- Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering
- Previous experience leading a team
- Experience in the automotive industry is desirable
- Practical engineering experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
- Solid knowledge of digital and analogue circuitry (design, test, troubleshooting)
- Experience in Altium and Solidworks is desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; e.g. the ability to prepare, present and discuss project-related plans, requirements, test results etc in a team-based work environment
- Well-developed analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide workable solutions.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
