Thousands of families connect via Playgroup sessions affiliated with or delivered by Playgroup NSW every week, building their parental capacity, and their village and helping their children learn.

**The Opportunity**

To ensure we continue to provide these invaluable programs and services to enhance our social impact in the community, Playgroup NSW is looking for a dynamic, innovative and resourceful Grants and Innovation Lead. This role will play an integral part in ensuring that we achieve our goal to Double our Impact in the community by 2027.

**About the role**

Maintaining a close and collaborative working relationship with colleagues, and external stakeholders is essential for effective communication and coordination.

Other key responsibilities include but not limited to;
- Planning, organising, and coordinating Grants-related meetings, workshops and information sessions, including the consortia.
- Ensuring specific assessment criteria for grant proposals is addressed.
- Ensuring that proposals adhere to formatting guidelines, word limits, and submission requirements specified by funders.
- Maintaining all databases and compliance registers for funding providers.
- Managing the government, grants and tenders pipeline.
- Preparing a range of high-quality advisory materials including briefings, reports, policy references, and budget submissions for government departments, supported by the CEO, CSIO, and Programs & Services Team.
- Monitoring project budget and tracking expenditures/transactions.
- Promoting an awareness of Playgroup NSW to improve visibility of our capacity and capabilities.

**About you**

To ensure you succeed in the role you will need to have the following skills and experience:

- Degree qualifications in early childhood, social science, sociology, public health and significant relevant experience in these sectors
- Successful track record in developing a grant pipeline.
- Demonstration of attention to detail and accuracy of data in communications and reporting.
- Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work in a high-performance environment, managing multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines.
- An innovative and creative approach to problem solving.
- Excellent verbal communication ability, including the ability to liaise effectively, confidentially with colleagues and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong MS suite skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams
- A current Working with Children (Employee) Check, or ability to obtain prior to commencement.

An understanding of early childhood development and parental capacity building, and the impacts on child, family and community wellbeing and Understanding of the role of playgroups and parental support groups in improving outcomes for children, families, and communities, would be highly advantageous.
