Data Analyst opportunity to work for a well known public sector client on a 3-month contract

**Your new company**

Our client is a public sector client located north of the River. They are looking for an experienced data analyst to join their team on a 3-month contract basis.

**Your new role**

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering, analysing, and documenting the business and data requirements for designing business intelligence. You map and review business processes, using process improvement methodologies to identify alternative solutions and recommend new approaches that align with business needs. Your role also involves developing user test cases and conducting system testing, documenting outcomes and managing any issues that arise. You provide valuable advice and guidance to customers and stakeholders on technical matters. Furthermore, you prepare reports tailored to specific functional areas or activities, ensuring that processes continually deliver quality outcomes.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Strong experience within the Data Analyst position including the creation of reports, analyses and data visualisations using Microsoft database, reporting and data analysis utilities, preferably Power BI
- Advanced experience in the efficient utilisation of information systems and technology.
- Advanced communication and problem-solving skills.
- Qualification in relevant discipline such as Data Science, Information Systems is advantageous.

**What you'll get in return**

You will receive an hourly rate of $70-85/hour + Super. Alongside this, you will get an opportunity to work with a range of customers and stakeholders. You will also analyse corporate data and design, develop and implement data analytics, business intelligence and reporting solutions that support the council's objectives, maximising the value of data assets.
