Where you’ll be working
This is a full-time permanent position and will be offered on a flexible hybrid work arrangement, ideally based out of Newmont's Subiaco office hub in Perth, Western Australia. It will be essential to have full and unrestricted eligibility for employment in Australia.
Who we’re looking for
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Collaborate with the Global Services Enablement Group (SEG) to enhance collaboration and value across teams supporting the Procure to Pay Service in our Global Delivery Centre (GDC).
- Coordinate with SEG to refine, streamline, and consolidate processes and transactional work.
- Lead a team to implement procurement strategies for long-tail and specialized MRO procurement across regional sites, promoting Indigenous engagement and local procurement.
- Identify sourcing opportunities to reduce costs, improve quality, and minimize supply risks.
- Engage and develop qualified Indigenous and local suppliers in line with internal policies.
- Maintain relationships with key MRO suppliers to ensure performance and continuous improvement.
- Work with regional category management, maintenance, and operations teams to assess MRO needs and develop effective sourcing solutions.
- Ensure timely delivery of critical goods and services by expediting purchase orders and resolving supply delays.
- Collaborate with logistics, warehouse, and inventory teams to manage lead times and minimize stockouts.
- Monitor warranty claims and repair processes to optimize cost recovery and equipment uptime.
- Ensure compliance with warranty terms through collaboration with OEMs, vendors, and internal partners.
- Communicate proactively with team members about procurement status and risks.
- Track and report on spending and impact of local and Indigenous sourcing initiatives.
- Maintain records for warranty and repair tracking, analysis, and improvement.
**Experience, Skills& Qualification**:
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, supply chain management, or equivalent.
- Experience in procurement, contract management, or commercial roles, preferably within an industrial or capital-intensive environment.
- Strong understanding of MRO procurement, warranty/repair lifecycle, and expediting processes.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting Indigenous and local procurement initiatives.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in relevant tools/software, including ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement platforms.
- Ability to work across functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- In-depth understanding of best practices for creating and defining business rules for regional/local specific requirements in sourcing, supplier management, and procurement.
- High proficiency in analyzing data, identifying trends, and translating insights into actionable procurement strategies.
- Skilled in supplier management and evaluation using quantitative and qualitative inputs.
- Effective team management capabilities.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills required to work across functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
