**About this opportunity**

We currently seeking a Finance Officer Lead to join our Finance team at our Head Office in Greenhills, East Maitland. Permanent full-time position with flexible hours of work including some remote working options.

This role is a pivotal leadership position to maintain daily operations within the finance team and assist in elevating the finance function across the Group. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will be responsible for driving and developing the team's capabilities and managing the daily deliverables of the finance operations team.

Main Duties include:

- Hands on leadership of the financial team in accounts payable & receivable and Dentists settlements (3 capable team members)
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, P & L expenditure and month end journals
- Guiding the team to ensure all support requests are responded to in a timely and customer-centric manner
- Ensuring all required bank transactions are posted and reconciled including assisting investigating and resolving issues
- Support debt collection efforts by overseeing outstanding payments and coordinating recovery processes
- Finance Business Partner to our internal teams particularly Centre Leaders and Regional Business Leaders

**Are you what we're looking for?**

We are looking for a true people leader who has solid experience in managing a capable team of Finance Officers. You will have experience in a large corporate business, ideally all major functions such as payroll and AP/AR. You will be someone who is independent, self-motivated and driven to succeed. Above all, you must be able to work as a team with excellent interpersonal skills and an upbeat, "can-do" attitude.

We will also be looking for:

- Minimum 5 years experience in finance operations including AP/AR and accounting functions
- Experience as a finance team leader, specializing in accounts management and reconciliations for a large company
- Proven track record leading successful teams, driving financial performance, and contributing to strategic planning
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail & effective communicator
- Excellent Excel skills at intermediate to advanced level
- Data driven decision maker with a curious mindset
