**About the role**

This position is responsible for delivering mechanical plant maintenance services that ensures Parramatta’s fleet, plant and equipment are maintained to a high standard.

On a daily basis you will:

- Undertake the maintenance and repair of Council’s plant, vehicles and equipment to industry standards to ensure maximum utilisation and minimise downtime. Make decisions and implement work practices in line with acceptable practices of the Automotive Trades and Services industry.
- Undertake a variety of tasks required for the successful completion of the functions of the Mechanical Workshop Team to ensure the long-term management, condition and usability of assets and facilities under the care of the team.
- Adapt to changing priorities and undertake tasks as directed, to assist other teams and operational areas, particularly in wet weather or other emergencies to meet community needs.

**About You**

**Qualifications**:

- Current Trade Certificate for Motor Mechanic repair work
- Hold a current NSW Driver’s License (Class C).
- Hold a current NSW Driver’s License (Class MR)
- NSW Driver’s License (Class HR), desirable
- Hold an RMS vehicle inspection certificate, (or to be obtained prior to confirmation of appointment).

**Experience**:

- Demonstrated extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of large plant, Fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and recent experience in, the use of vehicle asset management systems

**Skills**:

- The capacity to undertake the physical requirements of the role and area of specialisation.

**What’s on offer**:
We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $68,638.99 to $75,563.22 plus 11% Superannuation.
