Digital Product Designer

**An exciting fulltime 12-month opportunity exists to join our Digital Design team as a Digital Product Designer We are currently looking for a mid-level and a senior Digital Product Designer to join the team and are flexible for this role to be based anywhere in Australia.**

**About the role**

As a **Digital Product Designer** in our Digital Design team, you will be part of cross-functional teams that support and develop a range of digital products or features that deliver important commercial outcomes for Australian Retirement Trust (ART). This could include public websites, member and partner portals and native mobile apps.

Furthermore, you will support broader exploration of desirability and usability of potential future digital products and features.

Key accountabilities will include:

- Lead, along with product owners, the creative direction for digital products
- Build both simple and complex digital prototypes that users can interact with, helping us test desirability and usability of digital products and features
- Assist our digital product management and research teams conduct user testing and research activities to understand effectiveness and improvement opportunities towards product visions, strategies and outcomes
- Work closely with and support our IT development team to build out features and ensure high quality production.

**About you**

With an agency background or a similar inhouse role, you have strong UI design skills backed by an understanding of user-centred design principles, usability, and accessibility standards. You also bring an ability to balance user and business needs when designing solutions that drive our digital products forward. You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and explain design concepts to cross functional teams. Furthermore, your skills, experience and qualifications may include the following:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications, including design, multimedia, communications, or related fields
- Experience with digital design and prototyping tools - including Adobe XD and other Adobe Creative Suite products
- Experience and strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility guidelines and usability testing
- A strong understanding of HTML & CSS
- Experience working with Digital Design Systems and Front-End Frameworks such as Bootstrap is desirable
- A portfolio that showcases your work and design capabilities is desirable
- Experience working with agile principals and teams is desirable
