We are looking for a Greenhouse Gas Accounting Advisor to play a pivotal role in our journey to Net Zero. In this dynamic role, you’ll be at the heart of our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Accounting efforts—ensuring accurate emissions reporting, strengthening governance, and supporting high-impact sustainability initiatives

**What you’ll do**
- Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the Group GHG Inventory that will form the basis of our Metrics for public disclosures in Suncorp Group financial statements and other internal communications
- Sourcing and updating all reporting data required i.e., energy usage (including renewable energy certificates and rooftop solar) environmental supply chain, asset management, underwriting and cost data including rates and tariffs on a timely basis including from 3rd parties
- Providing environmental sustainability data for external sustainability rating agencies and compliance reports as requested by the Environment & Climate and Sustainability teams
- Supporting emissions modelling processes with accurate baseline data and assumptions on emission factors
- Assist with the first line of defence by performing frequent validation variance and GAP analysis of GHG Metrics and provide insights and track trends on the GHG Metrics
- Ensuring all corrections on the GHG metrics are performed before internal and external disclosure of the GHG Inventory
- Provide inputs to decision making, data analysis and reporting as required
- Mitigate risks and identify and develop contingency plans

**Job Requirements**
- Qualified in a GHG/Carbon Accounting, Sustainability or Analytics related field
- At least 3 years’ experience in Sustainability, GHG/Carbon Accounting, Net Zero transition planning, decarbonisation
- Sustainability reporting frameworks
- Environmental data management
- Emissions quantification
- Commitment to increase understanding of sustainability reporting standard, frameworks and methodologies and best practices i.e., NGERS, SASB, TCFD, GHG Protocol, PCAF
- Experience with and awareness of statutory record keeping requirements
- Client relationship experience with a strong focus on customer service
