Environment Reporting Advisor

**The Role**:

**Where you fit in**

Shell QGC operates natural gas operations from the Surat Basin of southern Queensland to supply the Australian domestic market and for export as LNG via a two-train LNG liquefaction plant on Curtis Island.

As Environment Reporting Advisor, you will have oversight of QGC’s compliance database system and environmental reporting. You will partner with the business, identify issues, and deliver high quality, fit-for-purpose strategies and implementation plans to assist with managing and highlighting environmental compliance risks and opportunities.

You must have a deep commitment to our values, code of conduct, Goal Zero and visibly demonstrate a simplification and delivery mindset, balancing immediate activities with longer-term direction setting. You are expected to role model inclusive behaviors and help build an environment where different views and perspectives are encouraged and valued.

**What’s the role?**

The Environment Reporting Advisor will focus on proactively managing and responding to compliance obligations and risks to maintain Shell’s environmental and social license to operate on the east coast of Australia. Key components of the role include:

- Regulatory assurance management system focal: Manage QGC’s regulatory condition assurance system to ensure accurate assurance, promote ownership through training and awareness, and drive improvements.
- Make Environment Performance Visible: Technical data interpretation and analysis of SQGC’s environment performance to determine and implement effective KPIs to enable decision making on priorities with senior leaders and other business units.
- Manage environment systems: Ensure assurance system, reporting and data analytics are part of Shell QGC’s certified ISO:14001 EMS to drive a culture of ownership and accountability for environmental issues across the business, maintaining the QGC Environment Intranet site.
- Communicate environment performance: Communication and delivery of QGC’s environmental reporting programs to satisfy internal and external reporting deliverables.

Furthermore, you will have:

- Deep commitment to HSSE and personal accountability
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in a technical/environment related discipline (essential)
- Proven experience in data and database management, developing meaningful KPIs and reporting that highlights performance and drives change
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues succinctly
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a willingness to proactively connect stakeholders across and external to the business
- Relentless drive for simplification and improvement
- A commitment to authentic, honest, open, and transparent communication with the courage to share views, insights, uncomfortable truths whilst accepting and supporting decisions made
