**About the Opportunity**

Due to continued growth our client have a demand for a strong Engineering Manager/Team Lead to lead a strong team of C++ software engineers and work across a range of different exciting product streams.

**Responsibilities**:

- Technically manage the team, code review, architecture and getting your hands dirty with the code.
- Managing all the activities of the software engineering team of 8 people.
- Provide guidance to the team and ensure they adhere to development standard.
- Drive technical initiatives that are in alignment with the team’s strategic objectives and ensuring success is measured.
- Contribute to our engineering culture engaging in technical discussion and following industry best practices.
- Help recruit, hire and scale your team.
- Assist with stand-ups and workshops.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Ideally you would have come up through the ranks as a C++ Software Engineer working on low level C++ and embedded products. From there you would have moved into leadership and management but still have a passion for code and software engineering.
- The ability to collaborate with stakeholders and sponsors while understanding and meeting the needs of the team
- Experience working with multi platformed environments, Linux, macOS or other Unix etc.
- Experience working in an Agile SCRUM environment and sprint planning
- History of building bespoke or unique products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
