The Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) is responsible for the supervision of children and young people in the Victorian criminal justice system. Youth Justice is responsible for overseeing services responding to children and young people in the criminal justice system, providing strategic advice and delivering effective interventions to address youth crime and reduce offending.
- The Community Operations & Practice Team provides leadership, oversight and advice to support the ongoing development of state-wide community-based youth justice services, including the:

- Children's Court Youth Diversion Service (CCYD)
- Youth Justice Court Advice Service
- Youth Justice Bail Afterhours Service (YJBAS)
- Enhanced Bail Supervision and Support Service (EBSS) and
- Community Youth Justice teams.

**This is a newly created role, an exciting opportunity for an Allied Health professional to**Deliver wellbeing supports and debriefing to community youth justice staff**.**

**What does this role entail?**
- Two year, fixed term position available part time or full time
- AH4 Grade role: $113,022 - $136,747 per year plus superannuation.
- This position is based in Melbourne CBD however in order to partner with the YJ Community Staff you will be required to frequently travel to statewide service centres
- Driving capability uplift in delivery of staff health and wellbeing initiatives and embed a culture of proactive intervention across Community Youth Justice.
- You will deliver psychological first aid in response to critical incidents for Youth Justice Community staff, in individual and group contexts.

**To be successful in this role you will have**
- Demonstrated experience at a senior level in the provision of mental health and wellbeing support.
- Significant experience in and knowledge of assessment, individual and group treatment and behaviour intervention treatment models with complex populations.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating supervision or reflective practice in complex or high-risk environments.
- Extensive experience in delivering quality operational and business outcomes in support of the operating environment consistent with the strategic direction of the organisation.
- Demonstrated capacity to work with a multi-disciplined team of professionals in the delivery of high-quality wellbeing programs drawing on extensive clinical experience and judgement in managing complex clinical cases.
- Hold registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or Membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW).
