About the Role
Working within our Indigenous Health team, you will provide leadership in the implementation and management of Darling Downs Health Closing the Gap - Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Initiatives, within Toowoomba and the surrounding areas. To achieve the outcomes aligned with these initiatives, you will have expert knowledge of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and cultural issues, including the social determinants of health. You will be a considered and adaptable communicator, who engages respectfully with the community while modelling the Darling Downs Health values.
Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
