**Description**:
**About your role**:
In this role, you will assist with the design & development of roof rack systems and adventure accessories, supporting our full portfolio of Clarus Adventure brands.
**Your key responsibilities are**:
To work with our product development team to develop roof rack components and accessories in accordance with Clarus Adventure design and development processes.
Researching innovative technology.
Active problem solving for customers.
Rapid development of ideas through sketches, 3D and prototype models using the classical industrial design iterative process.
Creating product styling in line with brand DNA.
Proof of concept testing and trials.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Operations and Supply Chain on product manufacturability.
Undertake DFX projects in collaboration with Operations, Sales, Product & Marketing.
Working collaboratively with other members of the wider design team based in Australia and the USA.
Occasional travel for product development and promotional work, both interstate and overseas.
Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to with an emphasis on internal controls and safe workplace.

**Key skills and requirements**:

- 5+ years proven experience as an industrial designer.
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Industrial Design or Product Design (essential).
- Professional experience in the automotive industry.
- Excellent written, manual sketching and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced level 3D Modelling (Solidworks), Rendering (Keyshot), Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and ability to translate and/or create manual sketching into surface files for production.
- Proven driver of innovation and creativity through product design and implementation.
- Demonstrated direct experience with global product development.
- Excellent planning and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
