The South Australian Potato Company is a major provider of premium potatoes to the Australian and overseas market. We are currently looking for a qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our Maintenance team.

The main driver of this role is to assist in keeping plant and equipment adequately maintained & in a safe working order to ensure the production team can deliver a reliable & quality product to its customers.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful applicant will have the following:
**Responsibilities**
- Undertake all work in accordance with WH&S practices and legislation
- Carry out preventative & reactive maintenance on the production line
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with quality requirements & company policy
- Initiate and complete work orders and ensure timely sign off for completed work along with relevant feedback, information and other reports as required
- Provide immediate responses to breakdown requirements
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and assist in the development of job procedures
- Provide daily feedback to the Maintenance Manager on the progress of jobs
- Provide technical support to the production team
- Work autonomously and safely in order to complete the required work as efficiently and effectively as possible.

**Skills & Experience**
- Trade qualification essential
- Experience in maintaining machinery in a food grade environment
- Strong history in troubleshooting/ fault finding
- Basic machining operations
- Fabrication skills including MIG & TIG welding
- Excellent time management
- Experience in maintaining conveyor systems, weighing machinery & packing machinery is highly desirable

- Minimum 2 years maintenance fitting experience
- Trade qualification
- Class C (unrestricted) drivers licence
- Must be able work a flexible hour’s arrangement and rosters. In addition there may also be occasions where after-hours work is required to repair breakdowns.
- High Risk Forklift Licence
- A or B Class Electrical licence
- Working at heights
- Elevated work platform
- Senior First Aid

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mount Barker, SA 5251: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- cert 3 trade certificate (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
