Are you an experienced HR generalist?
We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a major international air freight organisation for an experienced HR Manager.
This role is responsible for delivering an efficient and effective HR management to the APAC business. This role will drive all HR policies and procedures to support our employees and provide advice and guidance to managers in areas of modern award and employment law. The role manages all areas of HR for the region.
This is a generalist HR management role that will require travel within the region of APAC when required from time to time, and any other country we will operate within in the APAC region in the future.
It is expected Travel to other APAC sites periodically or as need arises to ensure there is a people connection and remote support structure in place.
**Main accountabilities include**:
- Provide guidance to Managers and stakeholders in resolving all HR issues.
- Driving HR policies and review work practices to reflect current employment legislation.
- Management of employee relations issues including grievance and disciplinary.
- Management of sickness absence.
- Management of all HR initiatives for the region including; engagement strategies; remuneration and benefits.
- Management of all Time & Attendance processes to align with payroll processing.
- Promoting a culture of equality and diversity
- Custodian of all relevant job descriptions for the region.
- Developing and maintaining good People files for the region and periodically auditing for relevance of retention.
- Coordinate the Onboarding of new starters including all regulatory training.
- Ensuring that any employees who exit from the business are managed effectively.
- Analysis and reporting on HR statistics.
- Support and drive our Company Culture and provide initiatives or action that may enhance our Employee Value Proposition.
- Work in collaboration with Finance and the Payroll processing function from an HR perspective to ensure accuracy and timely management of changes are fed into the Payroll process.
- In consultation with the Safety & Security Officer and Managers, support in all internal compliance and legislative audits for a people perspective.
- In conjunction with the Safety & Security Manager, maintain up to date training records and Matrix to ensure all employees qualifications and licenses are current and valid for their position.
- Management of the HR database to ensure data integrity for the region.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR or Industrial Relations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all levels of staff.
- Excellent levels of literacy, numeracy, and attention to detail.
- Previous experience of dealing with core HR issues such as disciplinary and grievances, sickness absence, staff development and management.
- Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative to deadlines.
- Good personal presentation and professional manner.
- Experience working across a multiple remote office/warehouse network.
- Experience working in the freight forwarding or similar industry is beneficial.
