**About the OPPORTUNITY**

We have an exciting opportunity for a** Test & Commissioning Navigation Technician** to join our Combat Systems & Integration line of business based at Mawson Lakes, and the Osborne Naval Shipyard, SA.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight.

You will be responsible for the installation, repair, commissioning, and maintenance of systems and equipment in line with contractual and company requirements. You will also contribute to the design, development, and implementation of these systems, and be actively involved in their setup, acceptance testing, and ongoing maintenance to ensure they meet all technical specifications.

Key responsibilities include:

- Perform hands on setup, testing, integration, and commissioning of equipment and systems in line with project and quality standards.
- Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME), resolving complex issues and producing detailed defect analysis and technical reports.
- Mentor and support the development of technicians, providing guidance and feedback on work quality.
- Collaborate across teams to support system design, construction, testing, acceptance, and team based project delivery.
- Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation, including test procedures and reports, while ensuring compliance with quality systems.
- Contribute to project planning and scheduling and promote continuous improvement within the Test & Commissioning team.

**About YOU**
- Certificate III in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in test and commissioning of complex systems or equipment in a technical or engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of technical documentation, test procedures, and quality systems compliance.
- Working knowledge of general-purpose test equipment, diagnostic tools, computers and computer programs.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- NV1 defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
- Eligibility to access ITAR information and equipment.
