There is a crisis in the medical profession. Medical staffing is broken and over 2/3 of doctors are in burnout, leading to depersonalisation and medical errors, which impacts people that we all know and love.

**The Role**

We empower our product teams to solve wicked problems. Problems that weave together experience, ethics, mental health, policy, business and technology. Problems you have to explore in order to resolve.

We’re looking for a designer with the training and the experience to operate and thrive in uncertainty, capable of helping and uplifting their product team through the discovery process, with the creative resourcefulness to materialize fluffy concepts and make abstract notions fathomable.

You will also show an insatiable curiosity for things generally considered trivial, inclusive in your thinking and generous with your feedback.

While reporting to our Head of Design, you’re expected to be able to influence your peers, as well as colleagues, stakeholders, and key leaders, through the use of data, logic, and empathy.

**What you’ll do**
- Conduct user research - our teams have direct access to doctors and interact with them on a regular basis.
- Work together with our Product Managers and Engineers to enable your product team to:

- Deliver value to the customers and the business at a sustainable pace.
- Ensure the product teams have access to the necessary user research and UX design to.
- Make decisions about our product development.
- Rapid prototyping, or the ability to help a team materialize ideas quickly, in an easily discardable fashion.
- Help the team collect, maintain and distribute learnings from the field.

**What you’ll bring**
- A qualification in Goal-Directed Design, Interaction Design, Human-centered Design, Systems Design or Product / Industrial Design is preferred, but you can also demonstrate successful practical experience.
- At least one tool of expression other than writing (sketching, illustration, graphic design, motion design, video, sound design etc.) that’s your go-to technique to capture ideas on the fly or to later share your thinking.
- 5+ years working on technology-powered products as a design researcher, a product designer, a design lead or a design producer.
