Where this role fits in

The Programmatic Trader - Analytics and Optimisation Lead sits within the Programmatic Trading Operations team, which is part of the Customer Group headed up by Kul Singh. The Programmatic Trading Operations team works closely with the Sales team and their customers to activate digital advertising campaigns via programmatic trading platforms, utilising our valuable first party data.

What the role is all about:
The Programmatic Trader provides specialised product and technology expertise and solutions in all aspects of digital media - particularly those utilised by the Programmatic Trading Operations team (tagging and tracking; audience segmentation; audience activation; programmatic trading). They will assist with strategy development and technical implementation, ad trafficking, troubleshoot and optimise client campaigns across multiple industry leading ad platforms, while improving existing processes through initiatives of automation and documentation.

The Programmatic Trader supports the Customer Group in the following ways:
- Work with the Team Leader and Trading Desk Manager to develop & execute bidding, targeting and inventory trading strategies for all offsite media buying across Display, Audio, Video & Social Media- Work with the Sales team to deliver targeted and effective Audience Extension solutions across Display, Audio, Video & Social Media- Implement, QA, and troubleshoot ad campaigns, using DSP platforms & other ad tech solutions- Manage campaign timelines and deliverables across internal and external stakeholders- Manage the acquisition of creative assets, insertion orders, campaign artefacts, and all relevant campaign documentation in preparation for campaign launch- Execute a strict campaign QA process to ensure accurate campaign implementation, pacing, and performance- Ensure that all campaign information is easy to access for all customers & stakeholders

As the Analytics and Optimisation Lead you will also:
- Keep on top of the various buying platforms’ reporting features and upgrades: MediaMath DSP, Yahoo DSP, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads.- Be the main point of contact for reporting managed by other internal teams- Troubleshoot and escalate reporting outages or discrepancies with the relevant vendors’ support teams and manage communications with the Programmatic Trading Operations team and other stakeholders (including TechOps, Product, Sales)- Manage integrations with REA’s reporting platform suite (e.g. Ignite, Tableau, Datorama) and troubleshoot delays, outages and discrepancies- Manage creation, maintenance, and improvement of performance monitoring dashboards- Help build optimisation tools with TechOps or external platforms / solutions.- Improve REA Audience Solutions’ customer reporting services: format, metrics, visualisation, layout, automation, and insights

We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a few runs on the board in a similar role: with several years’ experience trading media using Demand Side Platforms- Has intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook- Looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens- Is not afraid of numbers and can make them talk- Works productively in a fast paced and agile environment - #gsd (urban dictionary will help on this one)
