**About Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA)**

VARA operates out of Perth Airport and has a fleet of F100 and A320 aircraft that predominantly conduct charter operations throughout regional Western Australia. VARA continued to operate through COVID-19 and beyond to support our major clients in the mining industry and the future is exciting and prosperous.

**What you’ll be doing**:
The Safety Auditor/Investigator role is to ensure that all of VA and VARA's policies and procedures embedded within the airline's safety management system (and manual suite more broadly) are effective and compliant with regulatory standards. This role is a support function within the Safety Systems Department and partners with various internal and external stakeholders.

**You’ll be great in this role if you**:

- Come with previous experience in an aviation operational role (Flight Operations, Ground Operations and/or Airworthiness, Engineering)
- Are a critical thinking with excellent written and verbal communication
- Enjoy Technical analysis / report writing
- Understand:

- Safety Management Systems
- Australian Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR) framework
- International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) framework
- International Aviation Transport Association (IATA) framework
- Have completed:

- Lead Auditor Qualifications
- Head Investigator Course
- Safety Management Systems Course
