About the School
Texas State School caters for students from Prep to Year 10 with current enrolment numbers at 148. Texas is situated on the Dumaresq River which marks the Queensland/New South Wales border so our school draws students from the town of Texas and the surrounding rural areas in Queensland and New South Wales. As a prep to year 10 campus, our school has a wide range of facilities that are used by all sectors of the school including an industrial arts centre, home economics kitchen, art room and music room. In 2011 a new resource centre and a newly refurbished science laboratory were completed. We have excellent sporting facilities and the Texas sports complex is located adjacent to the school.We believe "Every child matters, every day.
About the Role
As Principal, you will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:

- Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on
- providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Active participants in life long learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
- Futures oriented and strategic.
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.
- Manage resources to achieve goals.
