**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter with strong technical and relationship skills to develop and manage client relationships (brokers and corporates) and underwrite Property risks according to Corso’s appetite and philosophy.

Your main responsibilities will include, however, are not limited to:

- Develop and implement marketing objectives, strategies and plans for allocated clients which return appropriate premium and profitability targets;
- Originate and underwrite corporate property business risks including the responsibility for the development of business with specific target accounts;
- Design timely and customised insurance solutions which add value and profitability for both, the client and Swiss Re;
- Technically assess and underwrite business in accordance with Corso's ANZs profitability targets, underwriting guidelines and processes and within stated authorities;
- Manage Property business by providing high quality, timely and appropriate underwriting service and support to clients, including timely and accurate documentation. Focus on developing and strengthening ongoing client relationships with a view to enlarging business opportunities for the future.

**About the Team**

The Corporate Solutions Property & Specialty Underwriting team has responsibility for enabling and generating economic profitable growth for Corporate Solutions across Property, Engineering, Energy Onshore, Mining and Utilities in line with business strategy. This role works as part of a team of ten property underwriters.

**About You**
- Strong background in underwriting mid market & corporate property risks;
- Knowledge of Australian mid market and corporate property and broker markets and their trends;
- Tertiary or ANZIIF qualified (preferred);
- Ability to develop and maintain profitable client relationships;
- Client focused with strong marketing skills;
- Able to communicate and professionally interact with people from different levels/locations of the organisation;
- Well organised/strong time management skills; and
- Self motivated, ambitious & takes own initiative to achieve goals.
