**Environmental Services Assistant - Monash Children’s Hospital - Clayton**

**Our Journey**:
**Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.

Monash Children’s Hospital (MCH), Clayton is seeking experienced Environmental Services Assistants to join our team.

**Shifts**

**Position 1**

Logistics AM Shift

Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30

(64 hours per fortnight)

**Position 2**

Logistics PM Shift

Monday to Thursday 17:00 to 23:30

(64 hours per fortnight)
- **Afternoon shift penalty applicable**_

**Position 3**

Environmental Cleaning

Monday to Friday 15:00 to 23:30

(60 hours per fortnight)
- **Afternoon shift penalty applicable**_

**A Day in the Life**:
Responsibilities can include but not limited to:

- Environmental cubicle cleaning
- Cleaning of floors surfaces
- Waste segregation and removal / transport to man loading dock
- Linen removal and transport to the main linen loading dock for removal
- Cleaning of amenities

Responsibilities for position 1 and 2, Logistics role also include:

- Transporting linen
- Waste from MCH wards to Monash Medical Centre chute rooms, Laundry & Waste Compactors

- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Holds a strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team
- Takes pride in your work with great attention to detail
- Has great time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks

**What you need**:
- Certificate III Cleaning Services _(Desirable)_
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service and cleaning in a healthcare environment
- Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks
- Excellent understanding of infection control procedures
- Basic to intermediate computer/digital skills
- Current Victorian drivers licence _(Desirable)_
