We have a position available for Apprenticeship Cert 111 carpentry/joinery. You will be trained to make & install timber staircases and also operate CNC routers.

**The Role**
- Work alongside experienced staircase builders to construct staircases according to design plans and specifications. This may involve measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling various staircase components, such as stringers, treads, risers, handrails, and balusters.
- Assist in the transportation and handling of construction materials, including lumber, hardware, and tools. Ensure materials are organized, accessible, and maintained in good condition.
- Prepare the worksite by setting up tools, equipment, and safety measures. This may include erecting scaffolding, securing protective barriers, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
- Help with taking accurate measurements of the staircase area, including height, width, and length. Assist in calculating the required dimensions and angles to ensure proper fit and functionality of the staircase components.
- Aid in the installation of staircases, including positioning and securing stringers, attaching treads and risers, and fitting handrails and balusters. Follow instructions from experienced builders, learn proper installation techniques, and contribute to maintaining quality craftsmanship.
- Assist in maintaining and cleaning tools and equipment used in staircase construction. Learn how to properly handle, store, and care for tools, ensuring they remain in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with team members, including supervisors, journeymen, and fellow apprentices. Collaborate on tasks, seek guidance when needed, and maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues.
- Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and reliability in your work. Follow company policies, codes of conduct, and ethical standards, contributing to a positive work culture.
