In this role of Manager Aircraft Controlled Software and EDTO, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of the Connected Aircraft strategy and administer systems to oversee the performance of all aspects of the Aircraft Controlled Software on Qantas managed fleet. The role will also drive the regulatory requirements to ensure that the A220 fleet successfully achieves EDTO approval.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up processes and ensure that Aircraft Controlled Software activities are completed on each A220 EIS to ensure aircraft worthiness- Maintaining and administering systems, processes and people capability ensuring aircraft airworthiness and aircraft information security as well as managing Aircraft Controlled Software for the Airbus fleet- Drive the development and implementation of the Connected Aircraft strategy to integrate the Aircraft Controllable Software management system for the A220- Participate in group Cyber Security Technical forums to align the Qantas Cyber Security and the Connected Aircraft management systems and communication flow- Manage Aircraft Controllable Software Systems for the A220- Responsible for ensuring each A220 has all regulatory requirements to achieve EDTO capability and regulatory approval for EIS- Manage and develop all maintenance requirements and ensure that they are included into Approved Maintenance Program to meet EDTO capability- Identify and manage risks within the business with regards to meeting commercial, operation and safety compliance outcomes.- Manage stakeholders to ensure with the business strategy- Comply with Group Management Systems and Policy

You’ll have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience within the Aviation industry- An Engineering degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent- The ability to work under pressure in a highly regulated environment- Commercial experience with contract management- Impactful communicator and negotiator able to drive business outcomes by influencing internal and external stakeholders- Practical experience with the Connected Aircraft, including an understanding of software configuration, PKI management and network security- Extensive experience in continuing airworthiness management activities and implementing process improvements- Strong demonstrated skills in problem-solving and analytical thinking- An understanding of the principles of Asset Management, Reliability Centred Maintenance and fleet reliability activities- The ability to comprehend and communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing- The ability to make sound, evidence-based decisions, even when presented with incomplete or uncertain data- A team-focused approach, with a demonstrated commitment to proactively finding solutions to problems
