**Digital Journey Expert**

The Affinity segment within Aon Australia, has an industry aligned structure, providing a mechanism to deliver distinct expertise and consistent service to clients.

This role is based in the Digital & Acquisition team, supporting delivery of a Digital Strategy and technology solution platform enabling growth within the Affinity segment, specifically focused on small businesses.

As a Digital Journey Expert, you will be working within an established team, focused on identifying, investigating, and implementing initiatives to optimize the technology platform and business operating model.

You will collaborate with business unit SMEs to review, analyse and evaluate problems and opportunities. Work with business and technology specialist colleagues to form recommendations that enable the organisation to optimise costs and processes to achieve its goals.

The position provides business analysis services such as planning and monitoring of business processes and practices, business requirements gathering and documentation, gap and solutions analysis, business need reviews and process analysis, along with process mapping.

**What the day will look like**
- Undertake analysis and documenting of ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ processes to ensure validity of business requirements. (E.g. analysis of the business landscape including current and target processes, stakeholders and impact analysis)
- Gathering, developing, and detailling business requirements
- Identify opportunities and make recommendations for consolidation, streamlining and improvement of affected business processes
- Maintain established platform backlogs and ensure completion of the prioritized tasks
- Analyse the solution to ensure deliverables match the documented business requirements, including participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
- Contribute and collaborate effectively with internal and external teams to ensure efforts are aligned towards achieving the desired goal
- Ensure business analysis artefacts produced meet the organisations standard
- Support the investigation and resolution of issues identified in the production environment

**Skills and experience that will lead to success**
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Information Technology, or related field
- Tier 1 accreditation / Insurance Broking qualifications (desirable)
- Planning and organising skills
- Strong oral and written communication & interpersonal skills
- Proven analytical abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to think creatively and identify commercial solutions
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to learn and understand processes quickly and efficiently
- Experience in the Financial Service or Insurance Industry is preferred, but not essential
- Advance Excel and knowledge of Atlassian tools is desired
- Ability to work in an agile environment and to adapt to changing priorities
