**About the role**:
This is an exciting opportunity as the pivotal leader of the newly formed Greater Newcastle CAMHS community team. You will be working within the HNELHD CAMHS leadership team and providing direct operational and clinical leadership of CAMHS staff within the Greater Newcastle sites. This position will be based across 2 sites, 621 Hunter Street Newcastle & 1A Dudley Road Charlestown.
You will be working in collaboration with the CAMHS Service manager, Clinical Director, Clinical Coordinator and other site-based leaders to provide operational management and clinical leadership of CAMHS staff located in various site across Greater Newcastle. Your role will oversee the provision of timely and safe care and treatment to young people and their families accessing specialist mental health intervention. You will be leading a team of multidisciplinary professionals and hold accountability for operational functioning and staff wellbeing.

You will be able to demonstrate extensive relevant clinical experience within a specialist mental health setting. This role requires the capacity to confidently work within complexity and understand clinical and operational governance systems.

**Where you will be working**:
CAMHS is a specialist mental health service that assesses and treats young people 0 - 17 years of age and their families/carers who are living in the HNE Local Health District (LHD). Young people and their families referred to the service have complex and severe mental health problems that significantly impact on most aspects of their functioning and development.

You will be a valued member of the HNELHD CAMHS Leadership team and will have structured routine points of connection as part of the CAMHS organisational structure. The position will report directly to the CAMHS Service Manager and will be supported by a number of key multidisciplinary leadership team members. You will also be linked to your professional practice network and will receive professional supervision as well as structured CAMHS specific education, training & professional development opportunities.
